4 SEASONS - HANDLING - GRIP

P ZERO Race 4S is the successor to the very popular P ZERO Velo 4S, Pirelli's first all-season cycling tyre. While the well-known handling characteristics of the old model have been improved, the P ZERO Race 4S still retains the key characteristics of an all-season racing tyre: it provides consistent grip in all weathers, rainy and cold days not excluded, and delivers the racing handling characteristics that have made the P ZERO Race range the preferred choice of professional cyclists. The tire's exceptional all-weather performance is made possible by two upgraded technical features: the SmartEVO rubber compound - the latest evolution of a compound designed specifically for the road, and the TechBELT Road construction designed for use with a inner tube - a 120tpi tire carcass with a nylon protection belt. The tire has also undergone a tread treatment and pattern upgrade: special deep grooves are complemented by a thicker tread pattern, allowing for better cold weather grip, longer life, and better puncture protection. All the special features of the new P ZERO Race 4S tyre are expertly manufactured in Italy, providing unparalleled quality and maximum performance.

SmartEVO rubber compound

The new SmartEVO rubber compound uses a blend of 3 different polymers, each providing specific performance qualities to achieve an optimal balance of opposing properties such as grip and rolling resistance. Pirelli has used its knowledge and experience of over 100 years in the development of rubber compounds for motorsport, where these products have always been used in top level racing in all disciplines. This extensive knowledge from the development and racing departments has enabled Pirelli to create a triple polymer compound with "smart" performance properties for bicycle tyres and forms the basis for the superior characteristics of the SmartEVO compound - improved dry and wet grip, while at the same time reducing rolling resistance. Pirelli has created a performance rubber compound designed and tuned for all modern road cycling disciplines, from local or World Tour races to epic adventures where the climate and varied surfaces demand tyres that perform reliably at the highest level in all circumstances.



TechBELT

High-performance braid structure with an added layer of high puncture-resistant fabric under the tread to allow the jacket to provide excellent puncture resistance in a wide range of conditions. The combination of this layer and the skeleton layers of the braid allows for the most effective rolling resistance and weight parameters for this structure to be achieved for use with the inner tube.
